Robert Novak’s had quite a week. The Prince of Darkness initially made headlines after reporting in a column that John McCain intended to pick his running mate this week. He subsequently whined that he’d been used by the McCain camp to wrest the media spotlight away from Barack Obama’s overseas adventure. Now Washington radio station WTOP is reporting that the 77-year-old columnist was given a $50 citation today after hitting a pedestrian in downtown D.C. Following the accident, Novak reportedly continued on his way until he was stopped by a bicyclist.
