Andrew Malcolm of the LA Times’ Top of the Ticket blog compiles campaign spending figures from the major party losers in this year’s presidential race and finds that the tab comes to $539,981,930.
The top three spenders–Hillary Clinton ($217m), Mitt Romney ($113m) and Rudy Giuliani ($66m)–account for nearly three-quarters of the cumulative $540 million. (John Edwards, for some reason, isn’t listed at all.)
