Rep. Tim Walz is adding to the flurry of health care town halls surrounding President Obama’s Saturday visit to Minneapolis to talk about health care. Walz announced Wednesday that he has scheduled a town hall on Saturday at the John Marshall High School Auditorium in Rochester from 12 to 2 pm. Rep. Erik Paulsen also announced a similar gathering for Friday evening on Wednesday, and Rep. Michele Bachmann announced a Saturday town hall on Tuesday.
For both Walz and Bachmann, this weekend’s events will be the second health care reform town halls they have hosted. The Walz email is below:
On Saturday, September 12th Congressman Walz will hold a town hall meeting to hear from southern Minnesotans about their ideas and concerns on health insurance reform. The general public, as well as members of the media are invited to the event. During August, Walz has held a series of discussions across southern Minnesota in his district offices, workplaces, and homes to hear directly from southern Minnesotans about our health care system. He also held a tele-town hall where constituents were able to ask questions of Walz and US Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, as well as a town hall in Mankato on health insurance reform.

Better do a little more investigative reporting. Rep Walz’s town hall was announced over a week ago.
