On a 63-35 vote, the Senate has broken the filibuster against Cass Sunstein, President Obama’s nominee for Administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs. The Senate will hold an up-or-down vote on the nomination later this week. Republicans voting for cloture: Sen. Robert Bennett (R-Utah), Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), Sen. Judd Gregg (R-N.H.), Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), Sen. Richard Lugar (R-Ind.), Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-Maine). Democrats voting against: Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.), Sen. James Webb (D-Va.).

On his Fox News show, Glenn Beck occasionally cut to the Senate floor and warned his audience that it was “in danger” if Sunstein was confirmed.

Cass Sunstein is much more radical than Van Jones! Some of his quotes are:
“Killing a newborn baby is never equivalent to killing a person, that is, a being who wants to go on living.” and this one advocating giving animals the right to file suit against people: “Any animals that are entitled to bring suit would be represented by (human) counsel, who would owe guardian-like obligations and make decisions, subject to those obligations, on their clients’ behalf,” he suggested. He is also anti-gun ownership and anti-hunting. Can you believe Obama nominated a nut case like this and the Senate is seriously going to hold hearing for his confirmation? This is not the America I was raised in. The whole administration is riddled with these radical nuts. When are the American people going to stand up an impeach Obama before he puts dozens of these heathens in positions of power?

That’s how the republicans lost so many conservatives. Corruption, corruption, corruption! Need I say more? It all happened while many Americans were eating their burgers anxious to watch the Chosen One’s speech regarding the health care program, promises that he will never keep. In the meantime the soon to be new Czar is celebrating his final step to his Regulatory Czar position. I wonder how those Americans will feel about paying $27 for a steak and be forced to be organ donors? I guess those that ignore today’s reality will experience a harsh awakening. But why do the rest have to pay the price?

I too am displeased with these people, they have lost touch, they all deserve a primary opponent. I think the vote was reported to have 7 republicans, there is one more coward. WHO IS IT? I live in Illinois but work in Indiana, In Illinois we have Burris and Durbin but we know they are corrupt but at least they are honest about it.

They are NOT true Republicans, they are far left in disguise. BECAUSE OF THEM, we are for sure the march to communism is on. HOW DARE THEY. This is not about Demo or GOP, its about who is honest and trustworthy and who is far far progressive left/communist. we are in the fight of our lives. the 2010 elections could be rigged like in Iran, then what will we do?
