Was Joe Wilson putting his mouth where his money is?

It must take a lot for a sitting congressman to shout “You’re a liar!” to the president of the United States at a rare joint session of Congress. Although Republican Rep. Joe Wilson has apologized for his outburst last night, John Tomasic at our sister site in Colorado still has a question: “Is Wilson paid to be angry?”

The American Hospital Association, which is lobbying hard on behalf of more than 5,000 hospitals across the nation against any reductions in Medicare payments.

Among Wilson’s top twenty-five donors: Blue Cross Blue Shield, CareCore (a healthcare management company), the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the National Association of Retail Druggists and the American Dental Association.
