Is this woman "goddamn" insane?

Real nice comment there Julie. See you in church. I'm personally sick and tired of my money going towards this. Ever hear of adoption? How about birth control minus the abortion/murder part? It makes me sick to my stomach that people can so arbitrarily end a life. And talk to some women who have had abortions when they are young as I have. Most carry the guilt the rest of their lives, so abortion in reality harms more than the fetus, but the women and even the potential father if he even knew about it...

Face it, folks. Planned Parenthood does not deserve your support or mine. As a mother and grandmother, I am angry at having my tax money suport an organization that hosts a pornographic website for teenagers. I am aghast at the fact that P P staff members have frequently concealed exploitation of minor girls by older men. Yes, they quietly abort them and remain mum to protect the exploiters. I am not fooled by their recent ploy of touting the “other services” they provide to obscure the fact that they are by far the largest provider of abortions in the country. With due respect to Mr. Birkey, I suggest he do a little research into the relationship between contraception and abortion. He would find that providing access to contraception increases the abortion rate instead of reducing the need for it as he ascerts. And what of pregnancy option counselling? Well he would find a glaring imbalance between the number of womem aborted and the number directed to keep their babies. Just look up the figures! Whatever one's opinion of Ms Bachmann, it should not be allowed to obscure the truth about Planned Parenthood.

The reality of this woman demonstrates why the rest of America looks askance at Minnesota. She is obviously a bubble or two off plumb, yet she resides in the Minnesota State House. The folks who elected her may have been fooled, but if the people in her district were wise, they'd stop with the “Minnesota Nice,” which is the most annoying passive-aggressive behavior, and ship her back to whatever rock she crawled up from under

Kind of sounds like several of our nation's larger churches. Big main church, lots of branches throughout the country, taxpayer funding (indirectly through being tax exempt).

Wonder if she would be in favor of shutting those down too?

I like the 'put your money' idea of dbower. I'm going straight from here to donate to Tinklenberg's site.

I completely agree with Ericf. I just donated $25. The old “put your money where your mouth is” slogan goes well here. I have despised this woman for two years now. I am ashamed that she is from my state. Let's fund the opposition. C'mon fellow sane readers!!!

I think it is interesting that she says her district is affluent. Most of her district (and mine) consists of middle class, working class, and the working poor.

I would also like to hear what Elwyn Tinklenberg has to say in response to this attack on Planned Parenthood.
