Pro-war vets group airs ad in numerous states, including Minnesota

On Wednesday, the pro-war, GOP-friendly Iraq and Afghanistan veterans group Vets for Freedom (homepage, Sourcewatch entry) will hold an event at the National Press Club to roll out a new 30-second ad proclaiming the Iraq surge a success and demanding that the next president finish the job. Initially, as our sister site Colorado Independent reported, the group will spend about $1.5 million airing the spot in 12 states, including several Midwestern states commonly identified as swing states: Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Missouri.

Among the vets featured is Jason Meszaros of St. Michael, Minnesota.
