At the Values Voter Summit in Washington, the Family Research Council’s FRC Action is asking attendees their preferred candidate for president, as well as which of four GOP incumbents they think it should “save” from the Left. U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann makes the cut, along with Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.), Rep. Joe Pitts (R-Penn.), and Rep. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), the last of whom is running for Senate.

The group is also giving out ballots for a potential “2010 Election Target List,” which will be narrowed down depending how those in attendance vote. Via David Weigel at the Washington Independent, here’s the list, with accompanying descriptions provided by the group:

Rep. Tom Perriello (D-Va.) – Won in 2008 by only 727 votes! From conservative district.

Rep. Steve Driehaus (D-Ohio) – Liberal in a moderate to conservative district.

Rep. Glenn Nye (D-Va.) – Pro-abortion, pro-sex-ed favorite of Planned Parenthood. Barely won in historically conservative district.

Rep. Betsy Markey (D-Co.) – Radical leftist in conservative /moderate district. Beatable. Heavy pro-abortion campaign contributions in 2008.

Rep. Walt Minnick (D-Id.) – Endorsed by Planned Parenthood. In conservative/moderate district.

Rep. Parker Griffith (D-Ala.) – Liberal in more conservative district. Vulnerable.

Rep. Alice (sic) Titus (D-Nev.) – Leftist in a toss-up district. Beatable with enough funding. (Note: She goes by “Dina” Titus.)

Rep. Mary Jo Kilroy (D-Ohio) – Heavy pro-abortion backing. Won by only 2,300 votes in more conservative district. Beatable with funding.

Rep. John Boccieri (D-Ohio) – One of Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel’s priority candidates. District usually votes conservative.

Rep. John Murtha (D-Penn.) – Key Nancy Pelosi lieutenant. Once moderate, has swung left and is vulnerable.

Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick (D-Ariz.) – Liberal in conservative district–beatable.

Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) – Lead of Obama agenda in the Senate. Victory would help change the political landscape.

Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Col.) – Has never won a statewide race. Conservatives can take back this important seat.

Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) – Ultra-liberal veteran. Low approval numbers. We can topple this leftist icon.

In addition, FRC Action highlights two Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate, Robin Carnahan in Missouri (“pro-abortionists pouring money into this race”) and Rep. Paul Hodes in New Hampshire (“homosexual ‘marriage’ supporter, vulnerable if we expose his views”).

All liberals should be presumed pro-abortion and pro-homosexual. In fact, they should be presumed to be homosexuals themselves, since liberals always engage in stealth campaigns, because if they revealed their true platforms, they would never be elected in a conservative country like America.

There must be a conservative victory in Congress next year, because if there isn’t, our Marxist homosexual president Barack Hussein Obama (aka Barry Soetoro) will come out of the closet, and force our children to be converted to homosexuality.

This is why I worry that these.n and any future elections will not be allowed to take place.

I’m glad I own guns.

You know, at first I thought Lord Basil’s post was a parody, but when I clicked on the link in the name, http://www.sarahpac.com, the theme to The Twilight Zone popped into my head. Now I’m not so sure.

Dave’s not the only one. I too assumed Basil was parody. Basil, please tell us despite the sarahpac link that you’re kidding. Sadly, when conservatives try to calmly explain their positions, they often come down not to definable policy differences, but to an assumption Democrats must be up to something even if they have no clue just what.

Gentlemen, there is no better commentary on what passes for political discourse than these posts. The loony right groups are descending into self-parody. Lord Fauntleroy Basil proudly announces word definitions that are wrong, uses the incorrectly defined words to address a fictional issue, states American elections may end, and finishes with an unrelated statement on guns.

As if that weren’t insane enough, WE DON’T KNOW IF HE IS JOKING! The Republicans shout that Karl Marx is finding his way back into American politics. Unfortunately, it it themselves, not the Democrats that are using the mouldering ideas. Marx said “History always repeats itself twice: first time as tragedy, second time as farce.” The conservative intellectual base is gone. Wm. F. Buckley has been replaced with Sarah Palin. This will hurt not only the Republican party, but the Democrats and America as well.

It’s the second amendment! All of the people in the blue box support it!
