Nice junket QuayLude Man. This is what Human Services people do after they deny
MCHA (public option health plan) to people when they run out of COBRA like he did to me.
I hope he is horribly disfigured over there in the Fatherland, dumped by his insurance
and rendered broke and homeless.

Thanks for the comments. The AP story this blog post is based on didn’t have a lot of detail on who’s going. Besides Ludeman, it’s “legislators and officials from the Mayo Clinic, University of Minnesota, Planned Parenthood and AARP.” No offense to modern-day Germany intended.

Minnesota health care leaders are going to Germany.

That has what to do with Hermann the German? Fine, there’s a statue in New Ulm. Great.

But invoking a massacre of Roman legions that happened two thousand years ago has absolutely nothing to do with the important subject of what Minnesota can learn from how Germany handles health care. Frankly, this story’s “angle” is pretty insulting to modern-day Germany, as it compares them to ancient Teutonic hordes.

MnIndy usually provides pretty solid local journalism. I have to say, this article is pretty disappointing. The attempt at “fun” doesn’t rub off so well on this one.
