T-Paw backers will create Freedom First PAC

pawlentyskySupporters of Gov. Tim Pawlenty are starting a new political action committee to raise money — and his national profile — as he mulls a 2012 presidential bid. The Freedom First PAC, reports the Star Tribune, will hold its kickoff high-dollar fundraising event on Nov. 4 at the Minneapolis Hilton. Supporters who raise $100,000 will earn the title of “event chair.” Individual tickets will cost $5,000.

The establishment of a PAC, also noted by the Washington Post, will allow Pawlenty to curry favor with politicians across the country by funneling them donations, as well as pay for travel and fundraising expenses. Pawlenty (hilariously) asserts, however, that the creation of the Freedom First committee should not be seen as proof of his interest in a 2012 presidential bid.

“It is just the opposite,” Pawlenty told Star Tribune reporter Rachel E. Stassen-Berger. “This undertaking, as we plan it and envision it, would be to help other candidates on a federal level.”

See everyone? Freedom is not free! Proof here that freedom (T-paw version anyway) starts out at $5000 a plate. Gads this man is embarrassing to have for governer. He speaks liberty and votes with his republican play book handy. What a faker. What a sham. What a scam artist. Way to go mullet head.

Ah, I remember the days of “Country First” … but now it’s States Rights … it must mean that individual freedoms are more important than our collective good.

Pawlenty is such a clown! He is disingenuous at best, but really quite dishonest, just another opportunistic snake oil salesman. He plays shell games with our MN budget, doesn’t fix the overall problems, and pats himself on the back for not raising taxes. In the meantime, schools, city and county governments are all needing referendums to keep providing services to citizens. This guy is just a big phoney! Give me Obama politics anytime!
