Why do those Republi-thugs keep bringing up the very few council members who ran into slight legal problems? The Republi-thugs have their own issues to worry about with corruption. They have hundreds of party members who have gone to jail.

Let's concentrate on the issues hee and how to get more Progressives into office so we can pursue the agenda of getting health care as a right for everyone in this country.

Then work on moving forward with limiting businesses on the profits they can gouge from people.

And finally, we really need to put a plug in the mouth of those rotten right wign wack job talk radio hosts. We need to get the govt to shut down the right wing stations and move forward on passing some real legislation limiting their ability to spew those lies on a daily basis.

Hennepin County has 10 internal auditors. Mpls has only one. When I asked CM Hodges at Fulton neighborhood festival, why Mpls. had only one auditor, she turned away from me and started talking to someone else.

3 CM have went to jail, CM Goodman's foul mouth comments about a developer, may cost Mpls. taxpayers $20 Million ( yes Million). CM Samuels has been accused of assaulting a constituent

We need new leaders in City Hall. Kris Borbery has my vote. Go Kris!!!

I've been working with a goodly number of candidates this time around and I want to recognize the open-mindedness that Kris is demonstrating. He is thoughtful, listens well, and has a sound understanding of issues important to homeowners and to property owners generally. CM Hodges is "last week's news" no matter how much money is poured into her campaign. Her grasp of the city's financial situation is boilerplate from the Council leadership. She's no Barret Lane!

The Greens' embrace of Ron Paul Republican Broberg reminds me forcibly that the GOP is probably the largest financial backer of the Greenies over the years:

How refreshing to hear Kris talk in clear and understandable language about what he believes in and what he will do. Of course, here in Ward 13 we're used to Betsy not responding and getting only platitudes and meaningless talking points when she does. It will be a great step forward in responsive and responsible city government when Kris Broberg is on the council. Go Kris!

I would like to see a limited government approach as well, I am a fiscal conservative, and although I know Kris, I support and vote on principle only.
With 3 city council members having gone to federal prison since 2001, and out of control spending issues, combined with a failure to provide basic city services (the roads are poor, I still have sand from last winter on my street, high crime rates in my area, etc..) I would love to see at least a few new voices in the makeup of the city's government.
It's time for this city to be run like a real business, not a special interest project.
