The American News Project and Spencer Ackerman of our sister-site the Washington Independent report from National Mall in Washington, D.C., where the human rights group Amnesty International is displaying an exact replica of a Guantanamo Bay detention center cell as part of an anti-torture protest.

It is meaningless to discuss torture until you define your terms. What is torture for one is not torture for another. And let’s be honest. What we do or don’t do has absolutely no affect on what is done to Americans.
