Real, real gone: McCain campaign releases anti-Obama spot that InterWeb hep cats will dig the most

Stodgy? The McCain campaign? You must be jazzin’ me, Jack. Just watch their latest web-only production, Dr. No, which riffs on the James Bond movies that all the young people love–or did, when John McCain was a young person.

Nice production values, but one question: Does it actually make Obama look bad, especially in the eyes of the independent voters he and McCain will be tussling over?

That is the strangest political ad I think I’ve ever seen. Seriously — the only iffy thing is nuclear power. The gas tax holiday and extra drilling are known to be stupid ideas. I hope McCain’s campaign keeps screwing up like this.

Yeah, seriously, is that supposed to be making Obama look bad? And that’s the first time I’ve heard the term “energy security.” Twisty!

Hey, kiddo. You gotta me joshing me, right? This guy doesn’t want offshore drilling? Or a gas-tax holiday? What is he, some wise guy or somethin’? Well, I oughta!
