Community mobilizes to oppose neo-Nazi rally in Minneapolis

The National Socialist Movement, a homophobic and anti-semitic white supremacist group, is threatening to protest a workshop at the Minneapolis YWCA about white privilege and white supremacy. It will be the first public NSM event here since a 2007 book-burning, and several groups of Twin Citians say they plan to make that visit an unwelcome one.
The neo-Nazi group, which up until late 2007 was headquartered in Minneapolis, announced it will protest the “More Than Skin Deep: Uprooting White Privilege and White Supremacy one cell at a time” workshop being held Saturday at the Midtown YWCA. The event “is for white people who already have an understanding of white privilege and white supremacy (WP/WS) and want to learn more about how to dismantle WP/WS through embodiment work, education, visioning and practical action.” Attendees will learn to “use critical race content and embodiment exploration to uproot ideologies of white supremacy and systems of white privilege in our lives.”
And workshop attendees will likely get a first-hand look at white supremacy if members of the NSM show up.
A number of counter-protests are planned for Saturday. “The NSM has been holding racist anti-immigrant rallies in southern Minnesota, and now they are seeking to establish a presence inside the City of Minneapolis,” reads a flier posted at the May Day Cafe in south Minneapolis. “They plan to bring their racist, homophobic, anti-immigrant, antisemitic message of division and hate right into the heart of the city. They must not go unopposed!”
On Wednesday, more than 100 Minneapolis residents attended an emergency meeting to develop strategies for the counter protest.
“We need to defend the vibrant, multi-ethnic diversity we have here in Minneapolis,” Dan Gannon, an anti-racist community organizer, said in a press release Friday. “Our city must remain a ‘no-go’ zone where white supremacists cannot organize or build a movement with their hate speech and violence.”
A Minneapolis resident who attended the meeting, Angelina Vazquez, said, “We’re not going to let this happen in our city. This is an attack on our multiracial, multicultural community. We refuse to be put under siege by violent right-wingers.”
Workshop organizers say they haven’t organized a counter-protest, but they’re happy the community is coming together to oppose the NSM.
Heather Hackman and Susan Raffo are organizing the YWCA workshop. “Susan and I are grateful that people are stepping up against these protesters,” said Hackman. “We are also very grateful for the support of the Y.”
“There are a number of people responding in a number of ways to this protest, and challenging racism and challenging white privilege,” she said. “It’s clear that this community is not going to stand for this.”
Hackman says the organizers will address the crowd at 10 am.
The Saturday protest will be followed by an NSM-organized rally “against illegal aliens and communism” at the Veteran’s Memorial in Austin, Minn., on Oct. 17, according to the group’s Web site.

The National Socialist Movement are the laughing stock of the pro-White movement in America. They have a reputation for having pedophiles, rapists, criminals, and other assorted White trash as members. The NSM Commander has a racially mixed wife and a felon.

What the hell happened to you in life that made you blame all of YOUR problems on OTHER people. Seriously.
Take some freaking responsibility and quit blaming blacks, jews, black jews, native americans, black native americans, black jewish native americans…..or whatever LABEL you attach to HUMAN BEINGS and go find a small hole to die in.

Whatever you may think of the NSM, these white privilage conferences are racist events. The sad thing is it is usually a bunch of white liberals getting together to discuss how the white man is responsible for all of the problems among minorities. (I don’t know about the rest of you but as a white person I am pretty tired of this crap) When similar ideas are held about jews, it is called anti semitism.

I’m so glad to see that Minnesota Nice plans to stand up and be counted! I don’t even know what these people are trying to do in Minnesota. Shouldn’t they just stick to the back woods of Utah and have paintball wars with their brethren?

Watching the 8 part video of the most recent NSM event in Riverside California, I caught some subtle reactions of Mestizo protesters to their white allies. All of them were giving the finger, in word and deed, to their enemies.
Race War is not inevitable; however, if one does unfold, the first mass action against whites will likely be upon these ‘white allies’ who appear to be severely lacking in historical knowledge — particularly regarding race. These clueless folks will be cut down in their tracks… not able to comprehend the fact that races don’t just look different — they think differently.
We all have our strengths and our weaknesses, as individuals, as cultures, and as races. Physical appearance is not the primary defining characteristic between races. The white ability to deeply empathize is not shared by the others. Too many white folks don’t understand this.
They may not survive!

So what exactly are you accomplishing besides getting on a federal watchlist and very likely the target of my mace? It is only considered wrong for white people to stand up for themselves as white people. White people are also the only group of people who are expected to jump for joy at the thought of becoming minorities in our own countries. We are also the only group of people who are expected to nod our heads in guilt filled agreement while our ancestors and culture is attacked. To agree when we are collectively condemned as a people ie. these white privilege conferences. A few of us are becoming less willing to take all of this lying down. Only 4 supposedly showed up to protest this but you can be guaranteed there are a lot more of us out there who are with such people in spirit. The one major reason more do not show up sadly is because they know a white person who stands up for white people today is going to be demonized in the worst possible ways.

Again, I reiterate: check out the faces mentioned above. Why on earth does anyone have to “stand up” for white people? White people have been, and ARE doing, just fine! I’m sorry if white David Drury and white Christine aren’t doing well. That’s too bad. But please, please don’t confuse your circumstances with white oppression.

Brix, I am always amused by the people who talk about the white elite as if they represent the average white working person in this country. A person truly has to be clueless (or maybe an authority worshiping republican to believe this( If they represented us, you would see them doing something about mass immigration from south of the border. (instead they are firmly in the pockets of multinational corporations who advocate for more mass immigration and open borders policies). They would be doing something about affirmative action. They would be doing something about “hate laws.” They would not be forcing diversity on us in every aspect of our life, at the point of a gun. They would not themselves make statements about how wonderful it would be when whites are no longer a majority. They would not be involving us in wars that are not in our national interest. Need I go on?

I also invited them, and any of them on this post, to come to my hometown, and see what happens. As a veteran, I would have no problem killing one of these pussies from NSM. Come get some.

Gosh, Christopher Mankey, where did the Founding Fathers ever say anything about America staying “white, heterosexual, Christian and God-fearing”? Please cite your sources. By contrast, I offer this: Thomas Jefferson himself said, In “Notes on the State of Virginia,” There is not one redeeming feature in our superstition of Christianity. It has made one half the world fools, and the other half hypocrites.” Doesn’t sound to me like he was espousing the notion of a “Christian nation.”
