Sen. Franken is right to celebrate that "the Internet is a democracy." Consumers are clearly free to go anywhere they choose and share any opinion they like on the Internet. And, FCC principles have been in place for years upholding the open Internet we all enjoy today.

Those who argue for more Internet regulation point to the same handful of years-old missteps because these issues were exceedingly rare and quickly resolved in favor of consumers. It’s important that we listen to the many network engineers and technologists who are speaking out to express concern about a growing government role in the day-to-day operations of the Internet and its potential harmful impact on all of the innovation that broadband is bringing into our lives.

All sides of the ‘net neutrality’ debate support free speech. All Americans enjoy it on- and off-line. Given these central facts, we should focus this debate on where we truly differ: Whether a significant expansion of the government’s role in the Internet would harm or help our economy and our society.

Mr. Franken again shows that he is a true and valiant statesman. One of these days his voice will be known as the Voice Of the People.

Since Mr. Wellstone was murdered, we have not had a voice as potent as this.

Thank you, Mr. Franken. Keep up the good work.

It appears that Franken DOES verbalize support for one of our freedoms. It's too bad that he has already proven himself to be against the Second Amendment and States' rights!
