Major disappointment here… unless this is being sunsetted later and used now to investigate crimes against the people under the Bush Administration. A girl can hope can’t she.

I believe that both of our Senators made mistakes supporting renewal of the Patriot Act unrevised. Some of us don’t trust our government to do the right thing with unchecked power, regardless of who is running the show lately. Warrantless searches can be turned on political opposition as easily as would-be terrorists. How will we know, if the executive branch can snoop whom ever they wish, without having to answer for it in a court that respects our Constitution?
