All things seem to point to the energy race and getting a pipeline through Afghanistan to tap the large natural gas reserves in SE Asia in the former Soviet republics. The Iraq war was all about providing a cause for the military industrial complex to turn a buck. 2 Trillion in taxpayer dollars up and vanishes under Cheney and Rummsfeld and people seem to forget that. Over two MILLION Iraqi citizens have been killed and their history virtually erased from the face of the Earth thanks to the Iraqi war. The Afghan was is an energy war, not a war on terrorism.
