I didn't know tasers could be so dangerous. I'd also be interested in learning how race affects a person's chance of being tasered. Are minorities more likely to be tasered instead of subdued in some other way?

The taser issue is complicated and there is a great deal of subtle propaganda being produced by the manufacturer. It is extremely easy to be fooled by their arguments. But I've studied the issue with a skeptical mind and I've written a blog with almost 400 posts. The blog has some very good findings that expose the bald-faced misinformation and clever propaganda. There's enough material that Micheal Moore could probably make a jam-packed 2-hour movie about Taser International.

A frightening expose. We need to know the truth since so much of this occurs under the radar. As with most things, we must enforce controls and limitations to prevent abuse. A sad commentary on the state of our country and some of the people in authority, but a fact of life. We must appeal to those of honor to be watchdogs for the rest. Greed and 'the bottom line' often win out over common sense and humanity.
