AM.MN: New York Times lucks out in citing Bachmann’s TV frequency
Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 8:30 am
Is The New York Times right or just lucky? Its main story today about Rep. Michele Bachmann opens by claiming she averages one cable TV appearance every nine days — based on a Smart Politics number-crunch that’s nearly two months old. But it still checks out. Bachmann maintained her average with seven cable dates since then (on Fox with Glenn Beck yesterday, plus Sept. 13, 15, and 22, and Oct. 6 and 7), though for three weeks, townhalls and travel kept her too busy for TV talk. Today, Smart Politics trumpets the Wednesday media blitz that netted her campaign $90,000.
