Yesterday, John McCain once again claimed “the fundamentals of our economy are strong.” Then, in either a fit of dementia or a case of the uber-wealthies, McCain couldn’t remember how many houses he owned. Turns out it’s seven, and they’re worth a total of $13 million. Meanwhile, in the real world, approximately one in four homes in McCain’s hometown of Phoenix were in foreclosure in May, echoing the trend in the Twin Cities and towns all over the United States. Oh boohoo. So McCain is a bad guy because he owns 7 houses valued at $13m? Here's a novel idea. Tell John to sell all his houses, he and Cindy can live in a trailer at their beer distribution center and the 13m he can give away to get the “1 in 4″ houses in Phoenix in foreclosure out of hawk. My God. Use your head. 3/4's of these people in foreclosure put themselves there through irresponsible fiscal management. Explain to me how a 28 y/o couple with 2 kids can by 4 houses total value 1.2M? Think it didn't happen? Check the Startribs website about 2 months back (plus they were my neighbors). To top that, less than 2% of the mortgages nationwide are in default. Get off it.

The simple and correct answer is NONE. All of McCain's houses are in his wife's name or companies she owns, much like Heinz-Kerry.
