Cook Political Report: Bachmann, Paulsen still only competitive House seats
Friday, November 13, 2009 at 11:37 am
Michele Bachmann is the most politically vulnerable member of Minnesota’s congressional delegation in 2010, according to the latest analysis from the Cook Political Report. The beltway publication lists the Sixth Congressional District seat as “leaning Republican.”
Only one other Minnesota contest makes the list of competitive House races. Freshman Republican Rep. Erik Paulsen’s seat is categorized as “likely Republican.” The assessments are unchanged from Cook’s prior analysis.
Both incumbents face a pair of Democratic challengers. Maureen Reed and Tarryl Clark are taking on Bachmann, while Paulsen faces opposition from Jim Meffert and Maureen Hackett.

What? Is Cook telling Minnesotans that MDE, Tony Sutton and the RPM are wrong in telling us that Tim Walz is in a competitive race?
And what’s with Republicans outside of the First ignoring Allen Quist’s exploratory look at running for Congress? Judging from what I’ve seen at meetings in the district, conservatives who live in the First take his bid seriously. It was even written up in the National Review Online.

Bachmann should be in jail for being a threat to our freedom with her wing nut policies and statements. Then the race would be totall Tara’s.

Let’s not talk about jailing people over policy, even to blow off steam. Offhand remarks like that from liberals can be taken to balance off whole hours of dittohead radio.
