Republicans have learned well that fear works. It also makes people crazily angry. The question is, when does what people like Michele Bachmann do become sedition? It seems to many of us that a line has been crossed when words like “armed and dangerous,” “revolution,” and “take our country back” are used repeatedly.

Additionally, who are the Nazi-like persons here? Hitler was a capitalist who hated socialists, communists, homosexuals and Jews. The teabaggers are calling the kettle black (no pun intended)?

Everyone has the right to their First Amendment freedoms, but what I object to is the abuse of these rights. Just because I can do a certain thing doesn’t mean I should do it. What worries me about politicians like Ms. Bachmann is the total disregard/consideration for the bad fruit that their actions may bear. IMHO, this is the worst kind of behavior for any politician to embrace, promote, and celebrate. It also says to me that we have politicians who are too reckless to be making laws for an entire nation. Northeaster made some excellent points in his/her post. What we need is a complete overhaul of campaign finance and lobbying laws. In addition, I would like for Congress to be more diligent in disciplining members who violate the rules of Congress instead of accepting these violations simply to keep peace, avoid criticism, or because they are members of Congress.

Ultrapartisanship is killing this country. Ultrapartisan individuals are killing our citizens.

Much needs to be done to end this cycle.

Reinstall the Fairness Doctrine so no political party has the ability to influence large groups of people simply because they have an de facto multi-media arm that reaches into every American’s living room.

Stick a fork in the Federal Election Commission and replace it with an organization that can not only control electioneering and finances but also has the authority to investigate and solve ethical and moral dilemmas. Make it a part of the Justice Department, but strip it from out of the Executive and attach it to the Judicial Branch.

God Republicans are pussies. They are too chicken shit to actually serve in the military, yet can’t wait to threaten mass murder.
They like to call themselves patriots just because a relative had the balls to serve. That does not make them a patriot, it makes the relative a patriot.
Bunch of wimps. All they can do is make threats and scare people. Earth to nut jobs: Noone is afraid of you. We laugh at your pathetic noodle-armed threats. Or flabby-armed threats. Either way, Republicans are pussies and no threat to anyone!

So you want us to believe that just because Michele can take credit for getting 10,000 (or 40,000 or whatever number) to show up at the Capitol to “scare your Congress member” that she would have any influence over unstable people? No, her power is such that it does not affect unstable people prone to violence. Just intelligent well-behaved people can hear her voice of fear. Her voice is like a dog-whistle, unstable people can’t hear it.
