Let’s take one of their Muslim holidays and turn it into a Christian Holiday. Why can’t everyone just let the Christian’s alone. We are always under attack lately. Christmas is all about Christ, hence the name. Quit trying to turn it into something else. If you don’t worship Jesus Christ, then wait for your own holidays to celebrate!

i applaud BB’s decision. i am not religious in the slightest and i grew up on “merry christmas” instead of “happy holidays”. to me, “happy holidays” is far more PC than mentioning specific religious/cultural holidays, and i personally hate being PC. so to acknowledge holidays of other popular faiths and cultures is a good non-PC thing if you ask me. thank you best buy, for realizing that it is better to respect individuals, and not the hivemind of society.

@Paul Renwick, your comments are ignorant. While it is true that the majority of muslims OUTSIDE of America wish destruction upon our country, the majority of muslims IN America are proud American citizens, have moderate/liberal beliefs, and do not wish for conservative islam/sharia to be inflicted here in the land of freedom. I have many muslim friends and coworkers and not a single one of them support the fundamentalism that exists outside America.

“Gun-toting freepers” may not have murdered 3000 americans but they seem to be bigoted, xenophobic, and racist since they do not have respect for other cultures and faiths.

Paul: Eid doesn’t compete with Christmas (it happened around Thanksgiving, but was dwarved in Best Buy’s ad by the word THANKSGIVING, as the image above shows). And, for the umpteenth time, Best Buy has confirmed they’re using the word “Christmas” in ads this year.

Yes, Mr. Schmelzer, it is, in fact, a really bad marketing decision. The vast majority of the 1.5 billion muslims reside outside the U.S. What do you suppose is the Christian to muslim ratio here in this country? Best Buy has stores in other countries where it can use whatever local seasonal greeting is appropriate. Here in America, it’s MERRY CHRISTMAS. It’s the day we celebrate the incarnation of God the Son. Muslims do not believe Jesus is the Son of God. Islam seeks to abolish Judiasm, Christianity, and any other opposing belief, and where it isn’t abolished, such followers are reduced to second-class citezins. “Gun-toting freepers” didn’t murder 3,000 Americans on September 11th.

or Happy Holiday. As A America Citizen we the people should not have to change our

There’s no arguing with the freepers – certainly not from a standpoint of mutual rationality. These freeper flatheads, with their whining and mewling, are tiresome. Further, the freepers that devolve into gun-toting, frothing simpletons scare me much more than any Islamic terrorist (especially the ones freepers imagine are lurking about).
