point blank with the recent vote concerning homosexuality the ELCA has fallen into heresy, and then forced that heresy upon its congregations without so much as a congregation level vote to ratify. SOUNDS RATHER LIKE THE PAPIST TO ME!!!! it looks like the wrong parts of the PECUSA are rubbing off on the ELCA. I pray that the ELCA and PECUSA may be delivered from this heresy and restored to Orthodox faith in Christ.

So the congregation “technically” took a vote to join, but the pastor says he don’t need no stinkin’ vote to “unjoin”….sniff, sniff…yup, I smell a lefty; or maybe it’s a pastor with poop on his pee-pee.

Dino, your comment betrays a lot about you, perhaps much more than you intended it to. I hope that you will find happiness in another denomination, but I’m kinda doubting it…. you clearly have issues that go beyond this question. You need to ask yourself whether your anger and your language reflect Christ’s love. To be honest, I think our ability to respond faithfully to Christ’s call for us in the ELCA may be greatly enhanced by your following a call elsewhere, so perhaps the Spirit’s hand can be seen in your leaving, indeed. Peace to you, nonetheless.

Wow, Dino, I wasn’t aware God-fearing Christians were allowed to cuss and slander their brothers and sisters in the faith.

And yes, thank God indeed for your willing exclusion from the ELCA. God knows if you stayed we’d have had to throw you out.

Wow, incredible and ironic! As a now former ELCA’er, I certainly know that I didn’t want to be part of a pro-queer church and definitely didn’t vote for it. Thank God I’ve now left that sh!thole denomination!

Perhaps the Urland Lutheran Church could sue these people for libel? Many, if not most, conscientious people of faith would find it highly objectionable to be included in this “CORE” bunch.
