Hotline On Call gives a sneak preview of National Journal’s new survey of beltway insiders on “the member they’d like most to shut up, the brightest thinkers and strategists in their parties and much more.” Topping the list of GOP voices these insiders would like to “mute” is Minnesota’s Rep. Michele Bachmann — but there’s a five-way tie. Eleven percent of Republicans polled would also like Fox’s Glenn Beck, Iowa Rep. Steve King, Sarah Palin and Georgia Rep. Tom Price to pipe down.
Sixteen percent of Republican congressional insiders — a list of 65 senators and representatives, including Bachmann and Rep. John Kline — said they didn’t want to mute anyone.
But among GOP “political insiders” — an even bigger group that includes the likes of Gary Bauer, Ed Gillespie and Charlie Crist — the most-mutable figure was Sarah Palin. Twenty-eight percent of people in this group wanted her to shut up; 12 percent selected RNC chair Michael Steele.
Democrats in both groups, congressional insiders and political insiders, would prefer Joe Lieberman be muted, getting 22 and 23 percent of the vote, respectively.
Other results worth noting:
Among GOP political insiders think Sen. John Thune of South Dakota has the “brightest future,” with 32 percent of the vote.
The figure getting the highest vote in all the results revealed by Hotline On Call call was Newt Gingrich. Forty-one percent of GOP congressional insiders and 53 percent of GOP political insiders think he’s the “most creative thinker” in the party.
Hat tip Polinaut.

Well, we might as well get ready for the faux Bachmann hissy fit, followed by the republicans/conservatives repudiating their votes after a volley of negative emails from the far right-wing.
Expect another public statement from Boehner & Cantor. McConnell might show up this time, too.

WHY THE LEFT HATES BACHMAN, PALIN AND CHRISTMAS
Two thousand years ago, the Christmas Revolution began with the birth of Jesus. His teachings, not the mystic aspects, were a rebellion against Old World governments. It started a brutal counter revolution against Christians and their teachings that continue today. Christians teach sovereignty of the individual with interests and aspirations unique to each. It was individual freedom limited by the Golden Rule. Christians were outside the rule of elite few. It was a new world order in itself. It took root 1620 years after it began in the Middle East with a small band of Pilgrims settling in Massachusetts. It spread across North America. It proved itself successful. The individual interests and freedom to pursue life, liberty and prosperity proved harmonious in American communities. A free and prosperous people ruled themselves. They rejected the power of the few elite in whose arrogance thought they could do better. Christianity, because of its teachings, is targeted for defeat by those who believe community interests are more important than are individual interests. Its celebration is ridiculed and prohibited in many areas of America today. It says individual freedom is the best answer to the problems facing the world. Prosperity and freedom are not found in the dictatorships of elite still infecting the rest of the world, the modern American Democrat Party and their allies on the left. The New World, founded on the Christmas Revolution, proved freedom and prosperity. The Old World, on the other hand, prefers slavery and chains for the many. Claysamerica.com

Just more evidence of how out of touch with reality and with the American people some Democrats remain. There are about 5 die-hard “I vote for the Dems no matter how bad they are” people remaining in this country who still haven’t caught on as to how absolutely controlling and tyrannical the present administration is. They simply can’t deal with reality; nor with facts that are right in their faces. You have to be absolutely blind not to see the damage going on and the assault all of us–no matter what your beliefs–are under. If such people would dare to study history, it smacks of the days before Hitler came into power when people back then thought he would solve all the problems also. Any reasoning person should be scared to death of that, whether Democrat, Republican, or Independent! If indeed, someone is so out of it that they are attacking people like Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann (who should be congratulated on their heroism on a daily basis!), I’m afraid such blinded people are beyond help. I guess there are some people who are so angry with factual evidence that they prefer to live in a fantasy world. God bless Palin and Bachmann!!!
