Obama picks Biden

The unprecedented text message announcement from the Obama campaign revealing the Democratic running-mate as Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., was hastily sent out early Saturday morning. CNN began reporting the choice of Biden after a “flurry of activity” at the Senator’s home became evidence enough.

Obama’s text message reads as follows:

Barack has chosen Senator Joe Biden to be our VP nominee. Watch the first Obama-Biden rally live at 3pm ET on www.BarackObama.com. Spread the word!

Despite complaints that the news of the choice preceded the text message, Obama has recieved high marks for his handling of the selection process.
