Bachmann Ohio-bound

Picture 3U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann’s name will land among the greatest Republican luminaries’ when she heads to Ohio next year to address the Hamilton County GOP’s Lincoln-Reagan Dinner.

The out-of-state trip is by no means the first for the Minnesota congresswoman whose star has been rising since she won re-election last year despite calling Barack Obama “anti-American” on national cable TV.

In August, Bachmann spoke to two conservative groups in Colorado, most notably calling for opponents of health-care reform to “slit our wrists” to stop the legislation.

A recent poll showed her constituents believe Bachmann puts the interests of the conservative movement nationally before their own.

Just FYI from an Ohioan: Hamilton county is in the SW corner of Ohio, which is extremely backward and right-wing. I knew that was where Michy would be going as soon as I read the headline.

No sniffers at your airport? Thank a Republican. I guess Americans being in danger is the cost of making our Elected President Look bad.

Republicans have cast votes against the key TSA funding measure that the 2010 appropriations bill for the Department of Homeland Security contained, which included funding for the TSA, including for explosives detection systems and other aviation security measures.
