You are confused. Try to understand quotation marks.

You say "The regular attack of the American education system on Christianity is well documented."

Maybe if the basis of christianity was not easily proved wrong by evidence, logic, and reason, that would not happen.

What is worse is that they are now defending what Pat robertson said about Hati.

its past sinful, its a disgrace, hateful, full of bigotry and i am ashamed to be part of the same country that houses people like those who run the MFC

Brit Hume overlooked a serious statistic...the rate of divorce among born again Christians is no better than for non-believers like Woods.

In other words, being a born again Christian doesn't make for a better family life.

In fact, Asians...most of whom are Buddhist and Muslim are less likely of all groups to experience a divorce

Barna Research Group, which does religious polling in the US came out with a controversial and eyepopping study that challenged the often assumed notion that born again Christians are more family centered than the rest of the population.

You can read the poll results here

Reane,

Jesus suffered terribly. Apparently he went against God? Same with Peter. Stephen. The priests at Nob. John the Baptist. Naboth the Jezreelite. Zechariah. Isaiah. The infants of Bethlehem. "Do what God says is right, and you will be blessed. Don't do what God says, and experience negative consequences". What Bible are you reading?

Cain and Able... One did wrong (went against God) right? And didnt' one experience negative consequences?

Have you read the Bible? It is a guide for life. Do what God says is right, and you will be blessed. Don't do what God says, and experience negative consequences.

As you read through the Bible, you can see that in every case, when one disobeys God, you suffer. Examples: Cain and Abel, David and Bathsheba, the Israelites...and on and on and on.

What don't you read it?

“Thank your liberal, leftist teachers and your vapid, social contracts with media, hand held devices, empty social networks and silly college lib brainwashing.”

With comments like that, it’s easy to see how the dark ages could return. This anti-intellectualism, anti-education, leave-your-brain-at-the-door mentality brought to us by modern christianity is proof that knowledge is a threat to it.

I feel bad for people like Dave who somehow have come to the conclusion that Christianity is anti-intellectual. History would prove that to be a fairly foolish statement.

The regular attack of the American education system on Christianity is well documented. The anti-intellectual twist is just one more attack.

So Dave, have you ever been to a college or university before or are you just guessing about what you think happens there?

I am a born again Christian who heard Mr . Hume's remarks as they were spoken on the news show. I thought that the remarks were inappropriate. As Christian's our earthly lives should reflect the peace and hidden glory that we will become after death. As I live my life in a Christian manner, others will come to me seeking my " secret. " That is the point at which I will have the opportunity to witness Jesus as my savior. Christian scripture is very clear that we should never judge another person's stance with God. The Pharisee's always judged others standing with God based on outward appearances and religious rituals. Jesus was very specific in only that God can judge what is a person's heart. I do not know Tiger Wood's standing with God. I do know that I have peace in my life even with the recession raging around us and terrorists threathening us. I have peace. I do not know what will happen day to day, but I know where my life's story ends.
And for all those who have the urge to attack this message, let me respectfully say. It was not written for you. It was written for those who are seeking a path to God. And that path is accepting the fact that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; That Jesus died for your sins, and that accepting Jesus as your personal Savior means that you have passed from death to life. Eternally. Peace.
