GlenmenzeRepublican Glen Menze has announced he will again run against Rep. Collin Peterson in 2010. Menze was defeated by Peterson in 2008 72 to 28 percent and was out-fundraised by Peterson by a factor of 100; Peterson raised $1.2 million versus Menze’s $12,900.

Menze, an accountant from Starbuck,  also challenged Peterson in 2000, then losing by a margin of 68 to 28 percent.

“Peterson no longer represents the interests of the citizens of our district,” Menze said in a statement on Thursday. “I will vote against any legalization that will cost jobs in our district like the cap and trade bill Peterson supported and voted for recently.

The math is wrong: Peterson outraised Menze by a factor of 100 – not 10.
