Picture 21Racist and homophobic tweets weren’t enough to stop U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann from endorsing GOP candidate Mike Parry for state Senate in next week’s District 26 special election.

Parry’s Twitter account has featured messages — since scrubbed and partly apologized for — that called President Obama “a Power Hungry Arrogant Black Man” and asked, “What’s with the Dems and Pedophiles?” in reference to the Matthew Shepard Act.

Bachmann issued a statement today endorsing Parry to replace retiring Republican Dick Day:

Mike is a strong fiscal conservative who will be a powerful voice for lower taxes, limited government and economic opportunity in St. Paul. As a small business owner, Mike understands the need to set priorities and hold government accountable for results. The people of Waseca, Steele and Rice counties will be well served by this steadfast champion of conservative values who will stand up to the big spending, big taxing liberals in the legislature.

Minnesota’s Senate District 26 lies well south of Bachmann’s Sixth Congressional District.

Bachmann served six years in the Minnesota Senate before winning election to Congress in 2006.

I will hazard a guess that the homophobic tweets were a big part of the attraction for Rep. Bachmann.

Of course she is backing this fruit cake. Anyone who is against America as we want it to be is the enemy of Bachmann. And she will go to great lengths to cover up her illeagle activities.

By the way, why isn’t anyone writing about Bachmann – the family values candidate – dumping her husband, then shacking with her Chief of Staff in DC? This woman has no values yet she preaches that topic at every one of us. Throw her out of office for a lack of family values!
