And he loves America. And so does Michelle Obama. That seemed to be the theme of the night. In an often stirring speech Michelle paid loving tribute to her parents and credited the civil rights and feminist movements for guiding her own success. “That is why I love this country,” she told the crowd. “And in my own life, in my own small way, I have tried to give back to the country that has given me so much.”
