Rep. Michele Bachmann told the The Hill on Thursday that she’s canceling her plans to speak at the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville next week, citing ethical concerns.

“Due to conflicting advice on whether Rep. Bachmann’s participation in the upcoming Tea Party Nation Convention would be in line with the Committee on Standards, Congresswoman Bachmann has decided not to participate in the event,” Bachmann spokeswoman Debbee Keller told The Hill.

Keller also said:

There is uncertainty about how any proceeds from the event may be used, and we must err on the side of caution. Some will want to portray her withdrawal as a repudiation of the Tea Party Movement, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Congresswoman Bachmann remains encouraged by all Americans, regardless of political party, who are concerned about this nation’s future and dwindling prosperity, and continues to be inspired their passion.

Dave Dziok, another spokesperson for Bachmann, told the Star Tribune: “We’re out.”

“It comes down to conflicting advice as to how these profits are going to be used after the fact. We’d rather err on the side of caution than do it and find out it’s improper … with somebody saying ‘they’re using the money from an event you were at to support this and this,’ which comes as a direct conflict with what you’re doing as a member of Congress.”

Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., also said on Thursday that she will no longer be attending the convention.

Marsha Blackburn sounds to me like she is Pro-New World Order based on most of the types of votes she has made. We don’t want any globalists in Congress.
