Bachmann loses press secretary

Just after hiring former Republican Party of Minnesota chairman Ron Carey, Rep. Michele Bachmann lost her press secretary, Politico reported Tuesday. Debbee Keller, who had been working for Bachmann for less than a year, sent this email announcing her departure:
Friends and colleagues,
I am excited to announce that starting today I will be serving in a new role as Communications Director for Rep. Paul Broun. I am extremely grateful for the opportunities I had working as Rep. Bachmann’s Press Secretary, and I am excited to use those experiences to take on this new opportunity and responsibility.
Broun represents Georgia’s 10th Congressional District.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire. Broun is from my state, and he is definitely NOT the sanest member in the House. Ms. Keller is a glutton for punishment. I hope she has mental health coverage as part of her benefits package because she’s going to need it.

Being Bachmann’s press secretary is the equivalent of the guy who walks behind the elephants in a circus parade.

Bachmann has a hard time holding on to staff. Why is that?
