Pawlenty to return to New Hampshire

Gov. Tim Pawlenty still denies he’s running for president, yet his travels — including a just-announced return trip to New Hampshire — suggest otherwise. On Facebook this morning, Pawlenty announced he’ll be traveling to the Granite State for a Mar. 25 keynote speech at the Manchester Republican Committee’s Lincoln-Reagan Dinner.
The dinner is the “bread and butter of presidential campaigns,” writes The Atlantic’s Marc Ambinder: “[I]n key primary states, they give candidates the opportunity to get face time and build support from the local party members and activists that play an important role in presidential primaries.”
It’s the second time Pawlenty’s buttered up Manchester Republicans. In December, he keynoted the party’s state Senate campaign PAC event.
But back in November he let his fingers do the walking: he called up Manchester’s mayor to congratulate him on his election win.
According to MPR’s Tom Scheck, Pawlenty has traveled to around 20 states since he announced he wouldn’t be running for governor again. Keep up with the Governor’s travels at MPR’s Pawlenty-travel map.

You see, that’s the problem with politics. Politicians position themselves to run for office, whether or not we, the people, want them to run for office. Pawlenty may have some smattering of support with Republicans, but Conservatives, true Conservatives are a distinctly different, more independent breed. We are so sick of both ‘party’s’ anointing one of their own with out consulting the rest of us. The tea party movement is gaining traction not for ‘Republicans’, but because a great many people from all political persuasions are just fed up, and want to restore the will of the people as guidance in our governance. The federalist papers cited concern over the ‘tyranny of the majority’, with little reflection over the fact that the ‘tyranny of the minority’ is far worse. Indeed, it was the ‘tyranny of the minority’ that forced the creation of our nation, and our ultimate victory over the minority (the Crown) that oppressed us, and it is this same self serving oppression of Washington elites and special interests that undermines and usurps the will of America’s citizens. Talk about out of touch!

LOVE THAT TEA PARTY!!! It’s the best thing since Ross Perot. I think Tpaw is fixin’ to leave the most hated governor in MN history.
Please keep moving to the right, you cons. And run Palin, please! A Palin/Bachman ticket would be like a dream for us on the left. Both idiots, both ignorant. Pawlenty is about as politically exciting as Skip Humphrey was for governor ( lost to a WWF action figure). Losing the “unallotment” case will be his undoing while he is away “not camoaigning”.
