DNC day two: Madia, Klobuchar hit the stage

A couple of Minnesota politicians just made cameos at the Democratic National Convention. Ashwin Madia joined a slew of House challengers on stage and was introduced by Democratic National Campaign Committee Chairman Chris Van Hollen. Madia didn’t get the chance to speak. Then Amy Klobuchar joined a cattle call of female senators briefly addressing various issues. From where I was standing on the convention floor, most of her speech was drowned out by the feverish screams of the Minnesota delegation. I did manage to catch this much: “This November, my fellow Democrats, we can’t afford more of the same. Let’s elect a president who looks out for the middle class and not the privileged class.”
