Pawlenty’s approval rating lowest of his career

A SurveyUSA poll released last week shows Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s approval rating at its lowest level in his career as governor. And that drop in support is happening as Pawlenty works to improve his standing among national Republicans in advance of a likely bid for president in 2012. The poll also showed a significant drop in support for Republicans among poll respondents.
Pawlenty earned the approval of just 42 percent of those polled, while 66 percent disapproved. According to Smart Politics:
This marks the lowest approval rating ever for Pawlenty, according to a Smart Politics analysis of more than 70 similarly-worded non-partisan public opinion polls dating back to the onset of his first term in office in 2003, including more than 50 polls conducted by SurveyUSA since Spring 2005.
SurveyUSA also asked about Pawlenty’s ambitions for higher office. On the question of whether Pawlenty should run for president in 2012, those polled were decisively against it: 28 percent said he should, 63 percent said he shouldn’t, and 9 percent weren’t sure.
Only 16 percent thought his ambitious travel schedule made him a more effective governor, while 40 percent said “less effective,” and 41 percent thought it had no impact.

No problem.
The governor has publicly declared Minnesota “the most liberal state in the country”.
So if he is unpopular here, they should LOVE him in garden spots like Mississippi, Alabama, South Carolina, and Georgia. Plus the snake-handler vote in Tennessee.

Tim,
You are so right. I live in GA. All a candidate has to do to get elected here is tell the majority of the voters what they want to hear. It doesn’t matter whether they work on behalf of them once they are elected, just choose a talking point and stick to it, and you can get elected. I am embarrassed by the actions of some Georgians in Congress, but here I’m in the minority. Politically speaking, GA is a messed up, backwards state because the majority of the voters keep electing the same mouthpieces who pursue their own agendas once they are in office.

Anyone want to know that I think about him?
Everyone with a brain in MN hates the man. And he will be more hated in the future due to the horrible deal he blackmailed the DFL’ers into last Friday on GAMC.
People will die and this man should be help responsible. But instead the wing nuts will probably nominate him for the Republi-thug’s futile try to take down Mr. Obama – the greatest President in history. T-Paw will be humiliated if he tries to take on Mr. Obama in 2012.

The sad part is that T-Paw’s approval isn’t lower. If people were really paying attention, there would be moves afoot to impeach him.

from MN don’t like him. I think he is narrow minded and uninformed when it comes to the working poor
