You failed to mention that URS is the consultant charged with putting LRT on the Washington Ave Bridge. The reason that this was only recently noticed is that two years after the DEIS they finally made an inspection to see what it'll hold. There is a restriction on cars and trucks – max 80,000 pounds. LRT weighs a bit more than that.

Suspicious indeed, George, considering this is one of the best vantages for viewing the remains of the old 35W bridge, perhaps one of the greatest symbols of domestic Republican failure.

So the bridge can hold 60 foot articulated buses, but no bikes and people? And we want LRT here? STOP THE CENTRAL CORRIDOR INSANITY!! Trains on 35W if at all!
