The Bridges of St. Paul project hit a serious roadblock Friday when the St. Paul Planning Commission rejected a proposed zoning change by a 13-6 vote.
The proposed change will go before the St. Paul City Council, the date has not been set.
The change went before the Zoning committe which approved the change 4-3. Both meetings had large community turnout.
The Bridges project by developer Jerry Trooien has been at the center of a lot of controversy with many citizens orginizations and District Planning Council’s opposing it along with Mayor Chris Coleman who has faulted the project for several things including not working with the community.
