Reps. Keith Ellison and Betty McCollum scored perfect 100s on civil rights votes, according to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. The NAACP ranked Minnesota’s congressional delegation on votes about community policing, hate crimes legislation, student loan reform and stronger predatory lending laws.

“Congressman Ellison has worked tirelessly in his legislative efforts to honor the human and civil rights of all his constituents in keeping with the mission and historical goals of the NAACP,” Dr. Josie Johnson, Minneapolis resident and lifelong member of the NAACP, said in a statement on Wednesday.

“The NAACP was a critical partner of mine when I drafted legislation to reduce home foreclosures, protect the rights of renters, and end predatory lending practices. All of these initiatives are now law. I look forward to continuing our partnership in the years to come,” Ellison said.

Among Minnesota’s Congressional delegation (pdf), Rep. Michele Bachmann scored the lowest with a 12 percent. Rep. John Kline was next with 16 percent, followed by Reps. Erik Paulsen at 28 percent, Collin Peterson at 64 percent, Tim Walz at 92 percent and James Oberstar at 96 percent.

So Bachmann beat Paulsen 12 to 28. He’ll be getting a call.

This is not a race to the bottom nor is this a joke. Equal rights and privleges for all people black, white, yellow, red, poor, wealthy, sick, or healthy is one of the most basic principals that America was founded on. Please as I have stated to you before, get an education before talking to other humans. This also means internet posts.

Is it OK if I still talk to squirrels?
