Tea Partiers unite, endorse Bachmann
Friday, April 09, 2010 at 8:15 am
The Tea Party Express stopped in St. Paul on Thursday to announce the formation of the National Tea Party Federation (NTPF) and to endorse Rep. Michele Bachmann for Congress. The new Tea Party group includes notable anti-gay organizations such as the Family Research Council, as well as FreedomWorks, which has funded aspects of the Tea Party movement. Curiously, the Minnesota Tea Party Patriots is missing from the new federation.
The groups involved in the NTPF are:
American Grassroots Coalition, Arkansas Unite, Cincinnati Tea Party, Constitutional TEA Party, DC Works For Us, Illinois Tea Party, Lynchburg Tea Party, New Jersey Tea Party Coalition, New Mexico Patriots, Orlando Tea Party, Pittsburgh Tea Party, ResistNet, Richmond Tea Party, Santee East County TEA Party, Take the Town Halls to Washington, Tea Party Express, Tea Party Nation, The Heart of Texas Tea Party, The Memphis TEA Party, The Mississippi Tea Party, Tupelo Tea Party, Waco Tea Party and We The People of Pennsylvania.
In addition to federation founders, NTPF’s “alliances” include:
60 Plus, Americans for Prosperity, Americans for Tax Reform, Bannon Strategic Advisors, Citizens Against Government Waste, Citizens United, Constitutional Sovereignty Alliance, Contract From America, Doctor Patient Medical Association, Family Research Council, FreedomWorks, Heartland Institute, Institute for Liberty, Let Freedom Ring, Moms for America, National Taxpayers Union, Ronald Reagan Institute for Conservative Leadership, Richard Viguerie, Tea Party Patriots Live!, and Victory Media Group
Also in St. Paul, Mark Williams, chairman of Tea Party Express, announced the group’s endorsement for Congress, noting that it would be giving money to her congressional campaign.

Not a very big tent is it? Where are all the “independents and Democrats” we keep hearing are part of this “steamin’” (Palin’s description) movement? The usual homobigot, small gummint (except when it’s their gummint check they’re cashing), no-tax suspects. Yawn.

Minnesota Tea Party Patriots’ Antoinette “Toni No Bologny” Backdahl announced today, “We are not endorsing candidates from any party. We decided to focus on issues and once educated on both sides of the arguments, let the people decide for themselves”, said Mrs. Backdahl.
Many people have been asking what the Tea Party is going to do concerning elections and candidates. “After many strong debates, we decided to NOT endorse candidates” said Mrs. Backdahl.
Minnesota Tea Party Patriots’ mission is to attract, educate, organize, and mobilize our fellow citizens to secure public policy consistent with our three core values: Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets.
The best way to describe the tea party movement is to say it is an issue based movement, similar to First Amendment Rights or Second Amendment Rights. It is outside of the political/election process and attracts people from all political parties.
“America was designed to have Americans participate in the process of its governance. It is our civic duty, if we fail to show up, we fail our country!. Congress passes legislation is does not write or read, someone has to pay attention.“ said Mrs. Backdahl.

Take Michele Bachmann…..Please. She recently suggested that the whole purpose of the census was so the government will know where the best places to set up internment camps will be. I realize that this silly woman has the IQ of your average hummingbird, but surely she must know that that statement is complete and utter nonsense. What does that tell you about her? It tells me more than I need to know. If there has been a more despicable American demagogue in my lifetime I am not aware of it. You have to go all the way back to Joe McCarthy to find anyone comparable. In October of 2008, in an appearance on the Chris Matthews program, she stated (with a straight face, I swear) that all Democratic members of the House and Senate should be investigated for their “anti-Americanism”. I’m not makin’ this stuff up, folks. It makes one wonder if she’s ever given the Constitution even a passing glance.
NOTE TO THE PEOPLE OF MINNESOTA:
You gave us Bob Dylan, Judy Garland, Garrison Keillor and Eugene McCarthy. Is this half-witted, hideous twit the best you can do? Seriously.
