Pawlenty misses Census deadline
Friday, April 09, 2010 at 11:30 am
Gov. Tim Pawlenty told listeners of his weekly WCCO radio show that he hasn’t yet returned either of the Census forms he has received — he got one for the Governor’s Mansion and another for his home in Eagan. He said, “I’m going to fill it out in a timely manner.”
The due date for Census forms was April 1.
Republicans say they fear that anti-government sentiment among the conservative base will result in lower numbers in Republican areas, and that trend seems to bearing out in places like Texas.
But Minnesota still ranks high in Census returns, including Rep. Michele Bachmann’s district. Bachmann has been credited with stirring up suspicion about the Census.

I don’t remember seeing a due date for the form printed on the form anywhere.
They asked how many people lived in the house ON April 1, so I found it very confusing that they were encouraging people to return the forms before this date.

Hopefully we get to re-district Bachmann out of a job!

This buffoon wants to be president? He is not a leader of men. He is an overgrown baby. He does not lead by example. He proceeds with that which benefits himself most.

Why do republicans and their loons want to demonize everything that comes up when we have a Democratic President? The census has nothing that could be considered evil or even questionable to the majority of people in this country. Yet that is what Bachmann has done. She is a shrew with satanic crap always coming out of her mouth. This woman is a a threat to America more than anything else. Pawlenty is trying to get someone attention but it doesn’t look good.

There was no “due date” on the Census form. I received mine on March 16 asking how many people were living at my address on April 1. Say what?
By the way, could the form have been any more race obsessed? I believe we’re all members of the HUMAN race. I can think of a hundred more useful questions than the ones on that silly form.

Democrats have a long history of cheating, lying, stealing, treason, politics below the belt; evil genius with otherwise harmless information, taking advantage like predators. FDRs use of the census to round up Japanese is a striking example.
Distrust of government is very healthy for freedom loving people, especially nowadays.

Timmy Pee, what a way to have it both ways! You can kind of look like you’re against it, by not sending it in in a timely way, thus satisfying the anti-government tea-party types, but then since you really will send it in, maybe you won’t look so fringey and wacko to the moderates! Brilliant two-faced strategy!! They’ll never figure it out!!

Boy am I glad I wasn’t the only one who was confused!!
By golly, it said to list anyone who was living here on April 1. And I got it earlier than that.
Now, me and the better half have lived here all alone for about six years now. But gosh, what if she moved somewhere on March 31st and I’d already sent in the form? Or worse, what if a bunch of islamocommufascihomosexuals just broke down the door on March 31 and decided to stay, and I’d already sent in my form saying it was just me and the better half living here? Life can sure be unpredictable, and it is unfair of the gummint to expect me to know who is going to be living here in a week.
Now, if I can’t figure this out, just imagine how difficult it would be for the Governor to understand, being a lawyer and all, with a wife who is a former judge. Why, he wouldn’t have a clue!

Not to mention it’s much easier for Republicans since they don’t enter the names of dead people.
