Bachmann hits back at Bill Clinton: ‘I am nothing’

Rep. Michele Bachmann laughed off criticism leveled at her by former President Bill Clinton at an event hosted by the Chicago Tea Party Patriots and the Chicago Republican Party on Saturday. Clinton said Bachmann’s statements about President Obama and Democrats as a “gangster government” might incite violence and “demonized” those who disagree with her. Bachmann says she’s a “nothing,” while repeating her claim and saying, “This is going to be fun.”
“[Clinton] was making an analogy that Michele Bachmann had made a statement the day before during the Tea Party rally that what President Obama was doing was gangster government,” Bachmann told the attendees. “And because I’m using a statement like ‘gangster,’ I’m responsible for creating the climate of hate that could lead to another Timothy McVeigh and another Oklahoma City bombing.”
She added, “How do you like them apples?”
She said she doesn’t have that kind of influence in politics.
“So I decided, well, this is going to be fun. This is going to be fun! I am nothing. I am on the bottom of the food chain. I’m in the minority party. I’m in my second term as a Congress woman and the former president of the United States decides I’m important enough to take me out!”
She said to Clinton, “Thank you very much! Thank you!”

Michele is criticized by a disgraced former president of Lewinsky fame – I think that should be a badge of honor!

Bachmann’s remarks were below the dignity of her office, but clearly NOT below her personal dignity — which clearly runs pretty shallow. She’s totally ignorant about the importance of basic decency, and the role she’s been elected to serve in OUR government.
What positive, constructive and enduring thing has she done for the voters in her district and the country overall in nearly 2 terms of office to justify being elected again?
She’s totally clueless.

There is nothing gangster about a legally elected government. She even admits that she is in the minority party… because the citizens of this country saw the mismanagement of the government under her and George Bush. I do think she is inciting violence by trying to make people think that Obama and the Democratic Congress are not duly elected. She should be impeached.

It’s starting…first, make outrageous, divisive and just plain stupid comments, then shift into being the victim of hash rebuke when someone challenges your comments, even if only indirectly.
Elections have consequences. Grow up Bachmann, your side was routed in 2008. And your day is coming…

What’s so outrageous is that Bachmann insists on fighting for your freedom when it’s clear you’d prefer government control.

Dennis, The only thing I can see she is fighting for is media attention, and maybe to prolong her free ride on the government gravy train.
She one of those government employees who shows up, but doesn’t do anything, except whine and complain. She calls herself a lot of things, but all I see is an obstructionist!

michelle’s dignity is perfectly fine ! she did not SAY ANTYING WRONG AT ALL ! because you fine dumb people believe that what she said was “wrong” doesnt give you the ticket to claim that she was wrong. YOU are the ones that are wrong !
now, the democrats on the other hand, say such crap that is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy below their decor sitting in office and you guys know what im talking about. one is obama mocking a grass roots movement thats telling him and govt what to do correctly that goes against the grain of the illuminati, well gee, who would have thought, while you all are simply toting party line, you are selling us out to the nwo thats comming very very soon and all rights removed…EVEN FOR YOU DEMOCRATS !

I’ll bet Bachmann made a lot of kids’ lives miserable on the junior high playground, and she’s using the same tactics today. If life were fair, she’d have been struck by lightning long ago. It’s disheartening to think she’s the best her congressional district could elect. She combines viciousness with in-your-face “christianity” – one of the worst combinations I can imagine. She demeans the capabilities of the human spirit.

No, Dennis, what’s outrageous is people like you who are so easily deceived into thinking Bachmann gives a rat’s ass about “freedom” or anything serious about governing. If Bachmann cared about liberty, she’d be pro-choice, which she’s not, she’d never had said anything about gays, she would have vocally opposed the Iraq War and opposed the Bush administration when it was in office, opposed phony politically “voter fraud” charges and opposed appointing US Attorneys who promised to bring such phony charges. She would have promoted the real voter fraud by Republicans during the 2000-2008 period. She’d be against tapping people’s phones and breaking into their homes without a warrant and against imprisoning and torturing innocent people. She’s a tool for the wealthy elite, the banks, insurance companies, petroleum companies and defense contractors who pay huge amounts in bribes to keep people like her in office. And huge amounts to create astro-turf uprisings brainwashing and manipulating gullible people like you to support her and re-elect her.

you may not enact your agenda to break the constitution !
and if you say well bush did it that doesnt matter either !
bush and the party paid the price dearly ! and that doesnt give you the golden ticket to the crapper of tyranny.
the app ratings of the house and senate are GOD AWFUL ! mainly the democrats. your gunna lose alot of seats in november, why???
because they arent representing the people and enacting an agenda that we dont want in majority ! and yes,
congress right now is FAR worse in approval ratings than all 8 YEARS OF MR. BUSH ! so you can say that either and stop rewriting history ! congress app rating 16%

And a “new money system called the AMERO”? Seriously? You’ve drunk the whole pitcher of right-wing Kool-aid, haven’t you?

(Without trying to be insulting…)
George, learn your basic English language before you try to teach others how to think. It is embarrassing to read poorly thought out rants about what educated people are supposed to think. Telling others they are ignorant when you are using such bad English grammar and spelling undermines your argument. For all I know, you may even have something to say but are unable to say it properly.
If you are an example of a Bachmann supporter I can understand how she gets away with her lies, foolishness and misrepresentations.

Notwithstanding that Bachmann is a moron who is being celebrated by other morons (a whole class of morons reveling in their moronity and who believe that their moronity qualifies them to consider themselves moronically superior), Mark Twain said it most ably:
“Look at the tyranny of party — at what is called party allegiance, party loyalty — a snare invented by designing men for selfish purposes — and which turns voters into chattles, slaves, rabbits, and all the while their masters, and they themselves are shouting rubbish about liberty, independence, freedom of opinion, freedom of speech, honestly unconscious of the fantastic contradiction; and forgetting or ignoring that their fathers and the churches shouted the same blasphemies a generation earlier when they were closing their doors against the hunted slave, beating his handful of humane defenders with Bible texts and billies, and pocketing the insults and licking the shoes of his Southern master.”
