Tom, how long did it take yu to dig up that Rove quote? I hope it wasn't too much time as it's rather lame.

You are trying to make this a big political debate, which it was never meant to be. But, if you want, we can both talk politics until we are blue and red in the face and neither one of us will be the better for it.

The Minnesota Independent acts likes its the watchdog for all things GOP. I'm a watchdog for the watchdogs.

Now, go find another irrelevant quote or fact as your next worthless rebuttal.

Seems Rove shares the bias of an "independent journalist." [Via TPM]

Check out this Karl Rove quote buried in a Fox News article about the threat Hurricane Gustav poses to the GOP's convention plans:

"The Republicans can't seem to get a break when it comes to August and when it comes to the weather," said Rove, a FOX News analyst. "I know this is being thought a lot about in Washington and at the White House and discussed and I suspect they will monitor it carefully and figure out what to do."

The point that I'm trying to make regarding this specific news article (and no other topics of the day) is that the writer of the article went out of his way to mud sling at the federal agencies and leadership (i.e. Bush) without mentioning anything about the city or state failures.

The purpose of my comment was to make it known that if he wants to point a finger, let's point it at everyone (i.e. Nagin, etc) who screwed up (i.e. didn't evacuate, lack of emergency planning).

Thanks.

What are the political implications of Gustav on Ray Nagin? If Mayor Nagin was about to hold a national event highlighting his accomplishments of the past four years when Gustav made landfall, you can be assured that Nagin's role in Katrina would be included in that story. However, that is not the case as the only major national event scheduled for that time frame is the RNC.

Hey, I'll admit that FEMA and every other government organization F'ed up on Katrina. I was just asking the "Independent journalist" why he or she failed to give the whole story. It's a fact that the New Orleans and LA leadership failed to act. I'm just calling BS on the left leaning media for failing to mention it every time they write about Katrina.

Someone who challenges the media about the facts is not disgusting, doctor.

One of the saddest loses I had from Katrina was that my own fellow citizens (such as Take Responsibility) could be so disgusting. I guess his responsibility is to himself alone, not his country.

Why didn't you comment on the negligence of the DFL mayor of New Orleans and the DFL governor of Louisiana who, despite several warnings and advice, refused to evacuate the City's residents? There were parking lots full of empty buses that could have been used to move people out of the hurricane and flood's path, but they were too stubborn or stupid to put them to use. Instead, the buses were flooded and people suffered!

Has anyone else noticed that this rag calls itself the Minnesota Independent yet it's one of the most left leaning publications in the State? Funny?!?
