Geraldo grills Bachmann on ‘gangster government’

Rep. Michele Bachmann continued to defend her assertion that the Obama administration and congressional Democrats constitute a “gangster government” on Geraldo Rivera’s Fox News program. Rivera asked, “Is gangster government really appropriate?”
Bachmann reiterated her belief that the “gangster government” was putting auto dealerships out of business.
Geraldo worried that the term might dim her rising star. Bachmann dismissed that characterization. “I’m not worried about a star dimming or rising, that’s not really my point,” she said.
Rivera also asked Bachmann about her and Sarah Palin leading the Republican Party.
“No one would have guessed several years ago that the two, perhaps, strongest voices in the Republican party, certainly in the right-wing of the Republican party would be two attractive women… Dare I say it, I don’t want to sound like a chauvinist. What’s the chemistry, why do you two get along so?”
“[Sarah Palin]‘s even more beautiful on the inside than she is on the outside,” Bachmann said. She dodged Geraldo’s question on whether she and Palin might team up for the Republican nomination in 2012.

Oh dear God, a Palin/Bachmann 2012 campaign would be terrifying….

I’ve had nightmares about a Palin/Bachman ticket every since the 2008 election. Neither of them have the sense god gave a lemon. The only cheery part will be watching the pre-election debates turn into a real smack down. Then again, the GOP can’t be that stupid…can they?

Palin, who refuses to interact with the press except under carefully controlled (by her) circumstances, and Bachmann, who will say any and every crazy thought she has. Those debates would be awesome (for the Democrats).

I personally feel that many of the male supporters and admirers are confusing who they would like to bed and who they would like to see elected.Sarah Palin is like a used car:The body is in good shape, but the engine is shot to hell!

I would hardly categorize that as “grilling” Bachmann.
“Extremist radical environmental group” – meaning anyone who wants to live their life without the need for a hazmat suit.
For someone who wants government to dictate who can and cannot marry, how and when they can have sex, dictate reproduction, and pick and chose who gets freedom of religion, she has a very self-serving idea of what constitutes “gangster government.”

W got elected because a lot of people thought he’d be a wonderful guy to have a drink with – even though he was known to be an alcoholic who had not gone through treatment. In other words, a “dry drunk,” with all the problems that come with that status. And he lived up to it, didn’t he?
Now, we’ve got people who marvel at Palin’s “perkiness” and want to vote for them – or her, or whatever.
God help us, do we have to get the government we deserve?
