SD42 Republicans change language on Arizona immigration poll

While no legislators listed on the GOP’s Senate District 42 website responded to the Minnesota Independent’s inquiries about the party’s poll about Arizona’s controversial immigration law, the poll’s language has quietly been modified. Yesterday’s possible answers — to the question whether respondents agree with Barack Obama that the Arizona law is “misguided” — were: “Si, señor!” and “No way, José!” Here’s how the unscientific survey looks today:

None of the SD42 GOP officials contacted by the Minnesota Independent — Sen. David Hann, Rep. Jenifer Loon and Eden Prairie Mayor Phil Young (all referenced on the GOP site) — responded to queries about the appropriateness of the poll’s language, and email addresses for SD42 GOP officers returned bounceback errors.

Currently, the survey shows opinions roughly divided among two “yes” answers. Yesterday, popular science blogger P,Z, Myers brought attention to the poll. Of the original poll answers, Myers wrote, “They really need to add a cute little icon of the Frito Bandito to that, just to add a little more class.”

Uh, no, the opinions are not divided. It’s just similar vote totals for two similar choices. There are two YES answers and not anything resembling an opposing opinion.
This stupid poll has been effectively trashed and it so clearly deserved to be trashed.
