The United States Chamber of Commerce awarded Rep. Michele Bachmann its “Spirit of Enterprise” award on Tuesday. “I’m so glad to have the Chamber supporting my efforts,” Bachmann said following the award ceremony. The award recognizes lawmakers who have been leaders on important business issues.

“It is my honor to receive this award,” Bachmann said in a statement. “Working for economic reforms to encourage entrepreneurship, open up opportunities for job growth and create a simpler tax environment during these difficult economic times on behalf of my constituents is my top priority in Washington, D.C.”

Tom Donahue, Chamber president and CEO, said, “The Chamber applauds Representative Bachmann for supporting the private sector and job growth through these difficult times. She has demonstrated great courage and we commend her.”

Bachmann isn’t alone in her award as 230 other members of Congress, mainly Republicans, won the award, including Reps. John Kline and Erik Paulsen.

Big deal about the award… what did she actually do? A lot of her statements are outrageously hateful and divisive.

They awarded her for supporting the “private sector and job growth.” WTF does that mean?

It means she opposes taxation, regulation and litigation at every opportunity. You know, promoting job growth. Or maybe you wouldn’t know.
