One, Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Vietnam-era “Fortunate Son” — which is sung from the perspective of a draftee who’s not among the children of pro-war senators and millionaires who are spared having to experience war themselves — accompanied Gov. Tim Pawlenty as he left the stage.
