Bachmann pays property taxes late

Rep. Michele Bachmann paid her property taxes on Thursday, but the payment was almost a week late, according to the St. Cloud Times. Bachmann’s spokesperson said the late payment was an oversight.

On Wednesday, the Dump Bachmann blog noted that Washington County records showed Bachmann to be late in paying her property taxes. The St. Could Times checked with Washington County officials, who said the $3,814.80 tax payment was made on Thursday.

“As soon as they realized the mistake, they paid it right away,” Rachel Horn, a Bachmann spokesperson told the Times.

I think they only paid the taxes because of all the publicity about it yesterday. I’d bet if there had been no publicity, the taxes would have remain unpaid a while longer.

Late tax payments?

Gadzooks!

Is Michele polishing her resume to impress Democrats for a run in the 5th CD? If she starts refusing to pay for parking tickets, Keith X Ellison need have a care!

I agree Gadzooks, no one should be surprised that an elitist Republican is paying their taxes late. That’s a problem for little people not them. Most of us have it figured into our Mortgage payment. Michelle and hubby probably paid cash for their million dollar shack on the golf course.

But this I don’t get “Keith X Ellison need have a care!” First the sentence makes no sense. Secondly there is no Keith X Ellison. Or is that some cutesy little Malcolm X reference that the wingnuts are using nowadays?

This woman is a fraud. She should have been put in jail long ago for her abusive comments and especially for molesting Bushco on TV years ago with the kiss thing. YUK!

Now we can have the IRS convict her of tax evasion and put her away for a very long time. IRS, go do your constitutional duty. Arrest that woman and put her in jail so we don’t have to look at her ugly mug ever again.

I’m sorry Henk.

Keith Ellison has at various times called himself Keith X, and Hakim X Ellison. Of course that was back in his Nation of Islam days, before he became a scofflaw turned US Rep for the Nation of Moonbats.

Looks like TPIAJ has started the kool-aid hour a little early today!

Hay Gadzooks you forgot another thing to mention about Keith Ellison… he can be the Minnesota Representative from CD 5 until the end of time or as long as he wants to.. and you Republicans can’t do a damn thing about it. Gnash your teeth, rend your clothes, lie all you want but the fact remains that CD 5 will send a Republican to Congress sometime after the Rapture!!!

Jimmy–

You might be interested to know that this charlatan billed YOU for her home cable tv bill when she was in the state senate.

From a Star Tribune article:

Bachmann said Friday that she received reimbursement for TV expenses in perhaps two months because she used cable TV to watch school board and other government meetings on local public access stations.

“It’s communications,” she said. “If there’s a problem with it, we’ll just turn it back in. We weren’t trying to defraud the state or take anything that we didn’t feel that we should.

“My understanding is that’s considered a permissible use. In the six years I’ve been in the Senate, that is not a regular thing that I’ve put on there.”

Some of Bachmann’s cable expense statements since 2004 on file at the Senate Fiscal Services Office itemized television and high-speed Internet services. She crossed out the television charges and sought reimbursement for the Internet expenses plus taxes and other fees during parts of 2005.

Other statements from the cable firm did not break down whether the expenses reimbursed by the state were entirely for TV or partly for Internet service but some appeared to be for TV. In one month, she was reimbursed for a cable expense of $19.99 for what appears to be for cable TV only. In another month, she was reimbursed $76.38 for a cable expense that was not itemized.

The fiscal services office said it is unaware of another member seeking reimbursement for cable expenses other than Internet service. “I assumed it was Internet,” said Eileen Lunzer, accounts payable supervisor for the office, which approved the reimbursements. She has asked the Senate Rules and Administration Committee to clarify permissible expenses and necessary documentation.

She should have hired Al Franken’s tax adviser, then she could claim she paid them on time, just to the wrong county.

Gadzooks!

Karl is increasing my enthusiasm for Obamacare!

God knows how many other moonbats whose obsession with Michele Bachmann have driven them insane. Straight jackets don’t buy themselves, and I bet Karl’s insurance doesn’t cover shock treatments.

Jimmy, bet you $10.00 Karl has checked the local library to see if Bachmann has any overdue books or unpaid fines.

can’t quite get my mind around this – their home is worth 2 x what mine is, but their property tax bill is just about the same as mine.

it may be the law, but it seems unfair, still.

mill, maybe it’s because your local govt is a bunch of blood sucking leeches. Voting tea party can fix that.

Gsdzooks, don’t you think we should look into her phone calls and sift through her garbage? What websites are she and her family looking at? This is real important stuff!

I’m happy to dismiss this as something that can happen to anybody, provided Bachmann and her backers aren’t hypocritically tearing into other people for something similar. However, looking at the comments, it appears their first instincts are to go after Keith Ellison over having lots of parking tickets — all paid, and after Al Franken for having followed bad advice from his accountant and paying his state taxes to the wrong states. He actually overpaid by paying the wrong states, but did that stop conservatives from mischaracterizing it in any way possible? No.

If you insist on living in a glass house…
