His Moment of Zen: Pawlenty to appear on The Daily Show

Gov. Tim Pawlenty announounced on Twitter and Facebook this afternoon that he’ll be appearing on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart next Thursday night.

He’ll surely be asked about his presidential ambitions… which brings back memories of a prior Pawlenty mention on the Comedy Central show. A 2008 “Moment of Zen” segment featured a clip from the last time Pawlenty had a national post in mind: at the  2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Republican National Committee Co-Chair Jo Ann Davidson mistakenly introduced audiences to the Alaska governor as Gov. Sarah Pawlenty.

Pawlenty’s Friday afternoon tweet, followed by his 2008 “Moment of Zen”:

He’s been covertly running for president for years. Maybe he’ll finally come out of the closet, politically speaking.

Is it too late to nail that door shut?

I hope John Stewart really sticks it to him and reveals him as the fraud that he is.

Unfortunately, Stewart is likely going to be way too nice to Pawlenty. This is Pawlenty’s chance to show the younger demographic how hip and cool he is by appearing on “The Daily Show” and hoping they’ll remember that when he announces his candidacy later.

Of course, John McCain has also been on “The Daily Show” and that didn’t exactly work out too well for his political aspirations, either.

Hopefully, for the future of America, Pawlenty will run. He means what he says and does what he says.

Our Governer is for fiscal responsibility, less govornment=more prosperity. Balanced budgets! This is good. It works for everyone.

When individuals spend more than they make, bankruptcy, forclosure, etc. Our government is in debt-BIGTIME. This isn’t fair to anyone, muchless our childrens. Stop spending, borrowing-it works. Less is more.
