Bachmann: ‘Dinosaur’ Helen Thomas should be fired
Monday, June 07, 2010 at 9:00 am
In a strongly worded blog post on Saturday, Rep. Michele Bachmann called on Hearst Newspapers to fire reporter Helen Thomas over her statements regarding the Israeli-Palestine conflict. Thomas’ call for Israel to leave Palestinian areas has generated criticism from many quarters. Bachmann called Thomas a “the White House media dinosaur” and urged her employer to remove her from reporting.
Here are Thomas’ comments:
And here’s what Bachmann wrote:
Once again the liberal media has shown its true colors! The White House media dinosaur, also known as Helen Thomas has called on Jews to leave Israel and move back to Poland and Germany. This anti-Semitic sentiment has no place in our public discourse. I call upon her employer, Heart Corporation to dismiss her at once! The White House needs to revoke her press credentials immediately.
Her apology is not sufficient, considering her many previous negative sentiments against Israel. Her language is offensive, vulgar and intolerant.

Hey, this isn’t new. The old arab hag has been defending the terrorist states since Jimmy Carter’s days. Now that she’s pushing 90 the Alzheimers is causing her to speak more openly and honestly about her true feelings.

Helen should be fired. She has lost the impartial objectivity required of a senior news reporter. I am so sad for her, but she needs to be replaced.

What do you expect from Bachmann, one of the biggest whores for Israel in Congress. She defended the Israeli pirates attack on the humanitarian ships, she and her family have taken multiple trips to Israel courtesy of Israel lobbyists. Of course Bachmann will grab a headline out of Helen Thomas’s remarks.

why were “humanitarians” wielding metal rods?
What would you grab to defend yourself if your unarmed ship was being boarded by heavily armed Israeli terrorists rapelling from US-made Blackhawk helicopters?
Curious to see how the Israelis “defended” themelves against these metal rods?

Bachmann is clearly just posturing when she calls for a dinosaur to retire.
Bachmann knows perfectly well that the dinosaurs all drowned in Noah’s flood in 2349 BC, along with the unicorns.

The only friends the Jews have in this world are Christian conservatives. It still amazes me why the American Jews haven’t realized that the world’s antisemites are on the Left, with their defense of Saddam Hussein, their embrace of Hamas, and their support of Iran’s attempt to obtain nuclear weapons. Yet they vote democrat 2:1. Amazing.

Apparently Ms Bachmann only believes in dinosaurs when it’s convenient for her to do so. And for her to categorize anyone else’s statements as “offensive, vulgar and intolerant” is mind-boggling in its own right. Apparently she’s lowered the bar to the point where it’s actually subterranean.

Dennis, Christian conservatives are not “great friends” of the Jews. Their goal is to have all Jews emigrate to Israel. This will bring the end of the world when, presumably, non-believers in the divinity of Christ will ultimately be sent to hell.
With friends like that . . .

Pretty strong words, considering most of the Jewish faith doesn’t really believe in a “hell.”
I find it funny how many people think the words “Israel” and “Jew” are synonymous. That doesn’t go over too well with the Muslims, Christians, and atheists who live there. Where exactly do we draw the line with sensitivity?
There is no “us and them,” only a “we” with a few a-holes in the bunch.

>>>> What would you grab to defend yourself if your unarmed ship was being boarded by heavily armed Israeli commandos [sic] rapelling from US-made Blackhawk helicopters?
Pretty sure I’d plant my face in the deck and stick my hands behind my head.

So, after reading these comments we come to the conclusion that rabid Israel-backers and Michele Bachmann are on the same page. Will Tarryl Clark scurry for AIPAC cover and money? Of note in California, Jean Harman has a primary opponent, Marcy Winograd who is Jewish, and supports real justice in Palestine.
So, the question is – will Tarryl Clark be another rubber stamp for AIPAC? What do the Independence Party candidates think about this latest massacre, or the Gaza siege in general?

Michelle Bachmann’s reasoning sounds pretty deliberate to me, whether she considers herself of Jewish heritage or not. She is echoing what most of the population thinks. She also understands the slant to Mr. Birkey’s article; the assumption that the “humanitarian” vessels were carrying benevolent goods, not nefarious items. The “humanitarians” by many accounts were spoiling for a fight, choosing to conduct their operation in such a manner as to bait and make suspicious an Israeli navy that plays for keeps. Reminds me of the flying imams in Minneapolis. Helen Thomas ceased being a journalist, and upholding the standards of journalism years ago. Her career is truly devoid of any outstanding accomplishments other than not getting fired before now. If longevity determines someone’s position in the food chain at the White House, I’d prefer to see a tour guide or custodian or chef’s name enshrined on a chair someplace in the white house. I loved the way the previous administration handled her loaded/left questions–”Thanks for the question, but I think, Helen, everyone in this room knows your views, thanks for sharing them again….Next question…” On where Jews should move– remember– non-muslims are not allowed to be Saudi citizens, same goes for some other nice middle eastern countries. In Israel, you don’t have to give up Christ, Allah, or your atheism to be a citizen.
